Understanding Worldviews
Overview: The missionary has an understanding of the basic worldview of the people group(s) in the ministry area. A worldview answers questions such as: Where am I? Who am I? Who’s in charge? How do I know? What is good? The missionary will gain this understanding through listening to stories from elders and listening/reading stories shared with children within that culture. Observing ceremonies and rituals in the life cycle of the community.
